When unused, it is a small spherical pink gum. Once used, it gets bigger and translucent, becoming a bubble. It pops apart once it touches any obstacles. Its artwork is different, it appears as a rectangular gum with a slightly opened packaging.
Ability[]
in Giana Sisters DS, it allows Giana to float within a large bubble. The player must press the jump button or blow into the microphone to make Giana float. It can also gave Giana an extra jump when the bubble is popped, though it may be a bug. If an enemy or a deadly obstacle pops it, Giana becomes temporarily invincible, unless she falls into a pit or water.
In Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, it does pretty much the same thing, but the player can't blow into the microphone and it can't give Giana an extra jump.
In Giana Sisters 2D, it does the same thing as the DS version, but the player can't blow into the microphone.
Trivia[]
The Bubble Gum is the only gadget that came back in the sequel after its debut.
Despite there are many different colored gums inside the vending machine, only the pink variant comes out.
Players criticise the bubble movements in Twisted Dreams being less handy than in the DS title.
